- James “Koe” Rodriguez is a 38 year-old visual artist and acknowledged Hip-Hop Scholar. The Jersey City natives creative works have appeared in published books, movies, lifestyle and trade magazines, newspapers, and select group shows. In addition, he has acted as a photojournalist, documentarian, curator, entrepreneur and has been instrumental in the advancement and preservation of Hip-Hop culture for well over two decades. Rodriguez’s latest project is a compelling documentary film on legendary New York photographers, Ernie Paniccioli, Jamel Shabazz and Joe Conzo entitled 1 LOVE. Rodriguez’s film credits include: JUST FOR KICKS, ALL OUT WAR, BIG PUN: THE LEGACY and WAY OF THE B-BOY. Rodriguez lives and works in New Jersey.
